WHY RICK STEPHENS?
Because Community Matters
I'm running for re-election to the Truckee Tahoe Airport Board in 2020 because I believe there’s more to do as it relates to why I was elected in 2016:
To run the Airport safely
Work on solutions to neighborhood noise and annoyance
Ensure the Airport District gives back to all of the communities it collects $7M in property taxes from annually
I believe the Airport District has the opportunity to
Continue to increase Community Sponsorships
Continue to increase Community Partnerships
Encourage and contribute to workforce housing through the Tahoe Truckee Workforce Housing Agency (formed in 2020)
Enhance safety and reduce airplane noise and annoyance through use of ADS-B ground stations, satellites and transponders in the planes.
